Human Resources Generalist

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • First-tier support to employees for human resources, payroll, timekeeping, and benefits
  • Process payroll for biweekly payroll of ~48 people to include calculating payable hours, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Ensure adherence to all payroll related local, state, and federal tax laws and procedures (Work with payroll provider on resolving tax issues)
  • Manage year-end activities, including reviewing W2s, federal and state quarterly/annual returns, deposits, state id's, etc.
  • Assist Accounting with balancing payroll accounts by resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education
  • Assist with organizing information and statements for audits performed by external auditors
  • Employee onboarding
  • Benefit compliance and record-keeping
  • EEOC, DOL, OSHA, NLRB, Federal, State & Local compliance, record keeping, and reporting
  • HR policies and procedures review and development
  • HR & Safety process audits
  • Health and wellness initiatives
  • Employee communications
  • Coaching, guidance, and response plans for sensitive employee-related topics
  • HR information/technology platform administration
  • Assist with integration of acquisitions
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Accounting or other relevant discipline preferred

  • Experienced in working within human resources or administration: 5 years relevant experience minimum, multi-state payroll experience preferred
  • Demonstrated track record for handling sensitive employee matters with professionalism and integrity
  • Highly organized and able to respond quickly in a dynamic working environment
  • Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to read, comprehend and analyze intricate regulatory payroll tax information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Payroll/HR software programs
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Independently manage projects and recurring tasks to ensure accurate and timely completion
  • Working knowledge of relevant labor and tax laws

Location

Lafayette, Indiana (1 hour from Indianapolis). Local candidates preferred but relocation package available.

Schedule

  • On-site (not remote) Mon-Fri 8 am - 5 pm
  • Occasional flex-time available

Physical Demands

This position requires working independently, as well as part of a team requiring verbal and face-to-face contact on a daily basis as well as occasional video calls. Frequent use of a computer, general office equipment, and/or personal device (e.g., cell phone) is necessary.

Production Assembler

Summary

Responsible for assembling electrical and mechanical equipment. Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and assemblies, and fits electronic components together.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, job orders, or reports
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, or soldering equipment.
  • Keep a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
  • Follow all safety and quality requirements

Requirements

  • High school Diploma/GED
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing
  • Skilled in mechanics

Electrical Assembly

Summary

Responsible for assembling electrical and electromechanical equipment. Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and assemblies, and fits electronic components together.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, job orders, or reports
  • Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, or soldering equipment.
  • Set up SMT, pick and place equipment, screen printers, reflow ovens
  • Follow company procedures and directives
  • Evaluate finished products for defects
  • Maintain the tools used to create products
  • Keep a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
  • Follow all safety and quality requirements

Requirements

  • High school Diploma/GED
  • Associates in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar; or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Precise manual dexterity
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (email, form filing, and record keeping)
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing
